Provided are a wastewater treatment apparatus comprising an aeration tank including a plurality of wastewater injection pipes, a plurality of air diffusers and a plurality of spray nozzles, and a wastewater treatment method comprising an aeration step including a wastewater inflow step and a vortex flow forming step using the wastewater treatment apparatus. In a biological wastewater treatment apparatus for blowing air into water of an aeration tank to increase activity of activated sludge, a wastewater treatment apparatus is characterized in that the aeration tank comprises: a plurality of wastewater injection pipes(1) capable of dividedly flowing wastewater injected through a wastewater injection port(10) into the aeration tank; a plurality of air diffusers(3) formed at an end of an air injection pipe(2) and installed in a lower part of the aeration tank; and a plurality of spray nozzles(5) installed below the air diffusers. The spray nozzles comprise a mixing nozzle(15) and an expander(25). The wastewater treatment apparatus further comprises a backflow preventing device(6) installed at the wastewater injection port. |
