A method for producing mushroom powder is provided to prevent degeneration of mushrooms and to allow long-term storage of mushrooms while not causing loss of nutritional elements, and to facilitate handling and intake of mushrooms. The method for producing mushroom powder comprises the steps of: selecting mushrooms having a uniform size and removing root portions, having a tough texture and making it difficult to wash off foreign materials, from the mushrooms; drying the mushrooms by using a hot air dryer at about 60 deg.C for 24 hours to a water content of about 4%; pulverizing repeatedly the dried mushrooms to a size of about 120-150 mesh; and packaging the mushroom powder. |
