An apparatus for measuring a distance and an angle in a mobile communication terminal and a game support method thereof are provided to enable infrared data communication apparatuses to measure the distance and the angle from a target, thereby performing various supplementary functions in the mobile communication terminal. An apparatus for measuring a distance and an angle in a mobile communication terminal comprises the followings: a plurality of infrared data communication apparatuses(11,12) which respectively receive reflected infrared data after transmitting infrared data to a target; and a control and operation part(14) which calculates the distance from the target on the basis of the strength of an infrared signal received from the plurality of the infrared data communication apparatuses(11,12) and calculates the angle from the target by referring to structure information of the fixed infrared data communication apparatus(11) and the rotary infrared data communication apparatus(12), and displays the distance and the angle.
