The said device consists of a device that is attached to each lower limb of a runner and is connected wirelessly to a microprocessor incorporated into a digital clock or a laptop (6). The main components of the device applied to the lower limbs are:a sensor - infrared transmitter (1), an active sole (2), an infrared receiver equipped with a sound signal transmission sensor and an infrared rays intensity meter (3), a sound signal reception sensor (4) and a wireless data transfer system (5). Thedevice calculates with great accuracy the distance that has been covered from the start of the measurement process, while at the same time it analyses the individual vector distances translating them into components in relation to a stable Cartesiancoordinate system in order to make the calculation of the horizontal, lateral and vertical displacements between any points of the route under examination possible. In addition, it is possible to realise area measurements and volume measurements onthe basis of the data resulting from the said calculations. |
