An image sensor having an adjustable charge transmission driving circuit is provided to vary a charge transmission driving voltage, to optimize charge transmission, and to reduce the ghost effect according to charge remained at a photoelectric conversion unit. A plurality of unit pixels are arranged as a matrix type in a pixel array unit(10). The pixel array unit(10) has a charge transmission unit for transmitting a charge loaded in a photoelectric conversion unit to a charge detecting unit by a charge transmission driving signal. A row driving unit(20) variably boosts a voltage in response to a boosting voltage variable control signal, and generates a boosting voltage which is higher than a power supply voltage. The row driving unit provides a charge transmission execution signal as the charge transmission driving signal to the pixel array unit in response to an inverse signal of the charge transmission execution signal, or provides the boosting voltage as the charge transmission driving signal to the pixel array unit in response to the charge transmission control signal.
