The wagon includes an adjustment mechanism (26, 26A, 35-38) for compensating for any change in the position of the guide rail above the wagon. The wagon has a set of arms for removing a plant pot or holder from the end of a row positioned above the greenhouse floor via a rail system. The wagon is mounted on a set of wheels which are aligned with each other and designed to carry the weight of the wagon and any plant pot being carried by it. The guide rail is located high up in the greenhouse and is secured to the greenhouse frame. A guide arm projecting upwards from the wagon is supported horizontally against the guide rail.
