摘要 A braking system for a trailer and a control method thereof are provided to reduce lurching of a vehicle promptly and stably without decreasing vehicle speed by differentially controlling braking force of front left and right wheels for restricting oversteer corresponding to direction of oscillation. A controller(20) includes an oscillation decision unit(21) detecting oscillation of a vehicle according to yaw rate detected by a yaw rate sensor(12), an oscillation direction decision unit(22) deciding direction of left and right oscillation of the vehicle according to the detected yaw rate, and a control unit(23) controlling braking force of front left and right wheels with a braking force regulator(30) according to the oscillation direction decided by the oscillation direction decision unit in sensing vibration by the oscillation decision unit. An output of the controller is connected to the braking force regulator adjusting braking pressure, and an engine torque regulator(31) adjusting engine torque. The oscillation direction decision unit decides direction of oscillation by comparing the total of plus yaw rate values with the total of minus yaw rate values per unit hour.
