The thermolytic reactor is for the decomposition of hydrocarbons and functions by application of high temperature heat to a gaseous current of hydrocarbons which circulates in the core of a furnace. The reactor, in its annular zone, has injection nozzles for the hydrocarbons in cyclonic type trajectory. In its upper is a membrane filter of hydrogen through which flows the major part of the pure hydrogen to the collector, of great energetic value, produced by the thermolytic decomposition. There is another reactor outlet collector located in the lower zone, with a regulatable valve to feed the evacuation of carbon powder together with the impulsion gas, constituted essentially by non-decomposed hydrocarbons, capable of being re-used.
|
