The system detects proximity based on the interchange of coded and encrypted signals between two transmitting and receiving systems when each of the transmitting and receiving system is within the communication range of the other. The interchange of signals allows specific recognition between the transmitting and receiving systems. Once the occurrence of a proximity event is identified between the transmitting and receiving systems, a control unit activates different types of local and remote alarms by telephony.
