METHOD FOR DETECTION OF DECREASED PAIN THRESHOLD IN PATIENTS WITH FIBROMYALGIA

The method for detection of the decreased pain threshold in the patients with fibromyalgia comprises electrosensometry of the skin in the back of forearm using skin electrodes and the pulse generator producing the current with a frequency of 300 pulses per minute and the pulse length of 10 ms. The threshold of the pain and the threshold of the tactile perceptibility are measured. The ratio of two thresholds is calculated. When the ratio is lower than 1.5, the decreased pain threshold is evident.
