A disposable wearing article (1) capable of preventing a skin from being seen through in waist covering regions, comprising a front waste covering region (6), a rear waste covering region (7), and a crotch covering region (8). A skin side sheet (22) and an underclothes side sheet (21) in the front and rear waist covering regions (6) and (7) have elastic extensible properties in the waist peripheral direction. These sheets (21) and (22) are formed of nonwoven fabric and comprise portions overlapped with each other. At these portions overlapped with each other, a plurality of pleats (41) repeatedly raised and lowered in the waist peripheral direction are formed on the underclothes side sheet (21).
