A cutterbar of a reaper contains a movable knife and an immovable one, which are arranged one above the other and has a form of a steel strap with standard segmented cutting parts riveted thereto, those in the plane are of a triangular shape with the truncated top. According to the invention, the movable knife is shifted relative to the immovable one in such a manner as to allow the tops of the segments of the movable knife to be projected relative to the tops of the segments of the immovable knife for 2-6 mm that corresponds to the size of a half of the diameter of the stems being cut.
