CHARGE FOR MAKING HIGHLY REFRACTORY CONCRETE

A charge for making refractory concrete of increased strength (147-149 MPa at the temperature of burning of 1750 DEGREE C) and fire resistance of (2050 DEGREE C) contains, % by weight : 69-72 grainy electrocorundum; 12-17 aluminas with mass particle of ?-Al2O3 not less than 95 % and particles size of 0.9-1.3 mum; mass particle of ?-Al2O3 not less than 85 % and particles size of 4-10 mum; with mass particle of ?-Al2O3 not less than 80 % and mass size of less than 5 mum, modified with polyelectrolyte at a ratio between 0.4:0.1:1 and 1:0.2:1; 7-15 mixture of high alumina cement with finely dispersed alumina at mass particle of ?-Al2O3 not less than 85 % and particles size of 4-10 mum at a ratiobetween 0.6:0.3 and 0.9:1; 1-7 chrome oxide. It is used for lining of high temperature aggregates, e.g. reactors for technical carbon production.
