METHOD FOR VISUALIZING ASCENDING AORTA

The method for visualizing the ascending aorta comprises the connection of the apparatus for the artificial blood circulation via right anterior lateral thoracotomy. Then the ascending aorta is displaced towards the center of the operative field with the aid of tractional pericardial sutures. The last two holding sutures are applied maximally close to the highest point of pericardial cut and fixed to the internal surface of the sternum or the ribs.
