#CMT# #/CMT# The clamp has a clamping lever (1) articulated on a rod (2) supporting jaws (3). A spring (4) made of a plastic material is inserted between the lever and the jaws and is supported directly on the rod, where the spring is constituted of a set of spring lock washers or buffer springs. A progressive pressure exerted on the lever to tighten or to release the jaws is transmitted to the jaws by the lever which compresses the spring. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a kit having a set of jaws and a spring. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for maintaining a fish hook during the manufacturing of an artificial fly (claimed) for fishing. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The progressive pressure exerted on the lever for tightening and releasing the jaws is transmitted to the jaws by the lever compressing the spring, so that the maximum or minimum tightening forces are determined in advance based on a previously performed adjustment of the jaws. The mounting clamp hence permits to use very thin and fragile jaws without causing damage to the jaws by an excess pressure while maintaining the regularity and effectiveness of clamping the fish hook in the jaws. The mounting clamp is reliable, functions in a smooth manner and is simple to use.
