A coated ferrite formed article, which comprises a ferrite and a coating formed on the surface thereof by subjecting a thermosetting composition or an ultraviolet-curable composition each comprising a polyimide resin and an epoxy compound to a heat- or ultraviolet-curing through a method involving using a tumbler coater or the like; and a method for producing the coated ferrite formed article. The coated ferrite formed article is convenient to use as ferrite beads or the like, and also is excellent in impact resistance and is insusceptible to scattering.
