A linear compressor is provided to reduce a cost for adding an unnecessary element by providing a shell and improve productivity by simplifying an assembling process. In a linear compressor, a shell(100) provides a receiving room. A main body frame(110) is elastically supported by an elastic member located at an inner part of the shell. A cylinder(120) is installed at the main body frame. A piston(130) is elastically supported by the elastic member for a straight reciprocating motion in the cylinder. An exhaust cover(140) provides an exhausted room for a refrigerant compressed by the piston. And, a stopper(200) contacts with the frame made by a nutmeg nut.
