METHOD FOR PREPARING OF POLYMETHYLMETHACRYLATE BEAD

Provided are a method for preparing a poly(methyl methacrylate) bead, a poly(methyl methacrylate) bead prepared by the method which is remarkably improved in heat resistance, and a light diffusion plate using the bead which is prevented in yellowing. The method comprises the steps of stirring an inorganic emulsion stabilizer and water in acid atmosphere to prepare a suspension polymerization stabilizer; stirring methyl methacrylate, a crosslinking agent and an antioxidizing agent to prepare an aerosol; mixing the suspension polymerization stabilizer and the aerosol and polymerizing the obtained mixture to prepare a poly(methyl methacrylate) bead; and washing and drying the prepared a poly(methyl methacrylate) bead. Preferably the inorganic emulsion stabilizer is TiO2 or SiO2 and its content is 1-30 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of a monomer.
