A terminal for operating a key tone, a recording medium thereof, and a method thereof are provided to offer a real time optimized additional service to either a caller terminal or a callee terminal, whose line is busy, independently of a mobile communication network or a wired communication network. A terminal for operating a key tone comprises a memory(260), a sound processor(205), and a controller(200). The memory(260) stores data matched with a specific key tone or a program driven corresponding to the specific key tone. The sound processor(205) receives the key tone or a signal/data matched with a tone. The controller(200) outputs data matched with the key tone received via the sound processor(205) by being connected to the memory(260) or executes a certain applet in accordance with the key tone or the signal/data matched with the tone. |
