An image forming device for storing scanning history and a scanning history storing method thereof are provided to offer the stored scanning history in case that a user wants the scanning history by storing information for each scanning job. The image forming device includes a scanning part(130) scanning an image, a memory(150), and a CPU(170) reducing the image scanned in the scanning part and generating/storing a scanning history list including the reduced images and the information for the scanned images. The scanning history list includes at least one of thumbnail images reducing the scanned image, scanning date/time, an image size, a used application program, a scanning result, and a storing position. The CPU provides the scanning history list by at least one of display or print.
