#CMT# #/CMT# The antenna has a radiating element (3) arranged parallel to a ground plane (2) and separated from the ground plane by air (14). The ground plane is formed on an upper side of a dielectric substrate (1). The substrate has a printed circuit board (23) with a microstrip (5) connected to the radiating element using a feeding rod (6) crossing the substrate and the plane, where the plane separates the radiating element and the strip. A capacitor element (24) is arranged between the radiating element and the plane. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Especially for UHF terrestrial digital and analogue television reception. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The radiating element is separated from the ground plane by air, thus improving the transversal dimension of the bandwidth and the gain of the antenna without disturbing the transmitted waves. The plane separates the radiating element and the microstrip, so that undesirable coupling between them is avoided. The antenna avoids the need to use an amplifier external to the antenna, thus reducing the cost of the antenna as well as the operation time necessary for the installation of the antenna.
