The method for modeling gastroesophageal reflux comprises the dissection of the lower esophageal sphincter and the broadening of the esophageal hiatus in the diaphragm. The esophageal-gastric transition is dissected longitudinally followed by the transverse sewing. The anterior semicircle of the esophageal hiatus in the diaphragm is dissected, and the cardial division of the stomach is fixed to the broadened esophageal hiatus in the diaphragm.
