The conveyor carriage, comprising a support with rollers (6) to engage with an overhead rail and a hook to receive part of an animal carcass, incorporates an electronic identification system with a transponder projecting from a ring antenna (14) located inside a roller rim (10). The identification system is in the form of an RFID (radio frequency identification) tag located in an axial annular projection (10a) on the roller, situated at a distance from its bearing (8, 9) and made in the form of an insert (16) fitted in an inner groove. The roller ring is based on a polymer material with mechanical characteristics that allow repeated movement along a rail in prevailing conditions such as weight, distance, vibration and operating life. |
