<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assisting arrangement of a packaging machine in which workability of arrangement can be enhanced while preventing deterioration in production efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An estimated production time required for production of substrate is calculated depending on the current arrangement of component feeders and then a decision is made whether the estimated production time satisfies a predetermined permissible production efficiency reference or not. The permissible production efficiency reference is set based on an ideal production time assuming ideal arrangement of component feeders, an estimated arrangement time required for shifting the component feeders from current arrangement to the ideal arrangement, and a scheduled number of production. When the estimated arrangement time does not satisfy the permissible production efficiency reference, alteration in arrangement of component feeders is informed along with that fact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
