<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detecting device for a vehicle, comprising a plurality of obstacle detecting sensors connected to a bus, capable of reducing cost following connection of an alarm, decreasing the number of wiring, and coping with attachment to an existing vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A display 11 is connected to a communication line 3, and an ID is set for the display 11 through the communication line 3 as well as sensors 21a-21d. After setting the ID, communication between the ECU 10 and the display 11 is carried out through the communication line 3. A dedicated communication line usable only for communication between the ECU 10 and the display 11 is therefore unnecessary. The number of lines can thus be decreased. Since a dedicated communication part for communication with the display 11 need not be provided on the ECU 10, cost can be decreased. Because other LAN than existing need not be used, this obstacle detecting device can be easily attached to an existing vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
