<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system and a totalization method for the results of games which enable the enjoyment of games even for the purposes other than that of upgrading personal achievements by carrying out not only the totalizing of personal game achievements of individual players but also totalization using other indexes in the totalizing operation for the results of games with a plurality of game machines. <P>SOLUTION: The totalizing of results of games is carried out for game machines previously divided into groups based on indexes pertaining to the respective groups. For examples, the groups are sorted out in terms of parlors, districts or countries where terminal game machines are installed. On the other hand, the groups are sorted out according to attributes pertaining to the players who are engaged in playing with the terminal game machines and the results of the games with group IDs attached are transmitted to a totalizing host computer.
