<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion compensation prediction apparatus in which motion compensation prediction processing is performed at high speed by interpolating pixels of 1/2 precision and pixels of 1/4 precision between horizontally or vertically continuous integer pixels through one time of pipeline processing. <P>SOLUTION: A motion compensation prediction apparatus for performing motion compensation prediction of decimal precision comprises: a pixel interpolation section 47 for applying FIR filter processing to horizontally or vertically continuous integer pixels to simultaneously interpolate pixels of 1/2 precision and pixels of 1/4 precision between adjacent two integer pixels within one clock; a frame memory 48 for recording the pixels of decimal precision interpolated by the pixel interpolation section 47; and a motion compensation prediction section 49 for performing motion compensation prediction using the pixels of decimal precision recorded in the frame memory 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
