<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing over a long period an aromatic polycarbonate slight in fish-eye content and good in hue. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the aromatic polycarbonate comprises the following process: using a reaction system composed of multiple reactors, a polymerization between an aromatic dihydroxy compound and a carbonic diester is conducted in a molten state in the presence of a catalyst, while regularly or irregularly conducting the operations of removing polymer deposited on the exposed part of the vapor phase section of the reactors, wherein in conducting such operations for predetermined reactor(s), a phenol or a phenol-containing medium is supplied at polymer-deposited parts to depolymerize and remove the deposited polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
