摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device capable of suppressing an increase in a circuit size concerning redundancy saving. SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory device 1 is provided with an address counter for sequentially increasing/decreasing internal address to generate them in response to an external clock input, and capable of continuously reading data by continuously accessing a memory cell array. The address space of the memory cell array is divided into a block constituted of a plurality of continuous addresses, and defect information registers for storing defect information regarding whether a next block is a defective block are separately provided for the blocks. If defect information output from the defect information register corresponding to a block being accessed indicates that a next block is a defective block, when the internal address moves from the block being accessed to the next block, the address counter skips the next block to increase or decrease the internal address based on the defect information.
