摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for controlling a position of a mobile robot by which even a robot moving or changing its attitude can exactly calculate its position and each robot can easily calculates its position without interfering with each other even when a plurality of robots are moving in the same region. SOLUTION: This position control system of a truck robot performs position control of the mobile robot in a mobile region, optical transmitters are provided at a plurality of parts in the mobile region and the truck robot 1 is provided with a light receiving sensor 24 which receives optical signals from the optical transmitters, a position calculation part 26 which calculates the self-position based on a signal received by the light receiving sensor 24 and a movement control part 27 which performs movement control based on positional information calculated by the position calculation part 26.
