PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portal bumping post and a portal pedestrian crossing preventive fence capable of absorbing and relieving impact to a collision vehicle and its occupants at the collision of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The portal bumping post or pedestrian crossing preventive fence has a lateral pair of post parts vertically extending in the installed state on the ground, and a beam part which connects both post parts in a lateral direction. The post parts are constituted to be deformed from a standing-up attitude by external force to the portal bumping post at the collision of the vehicle and to be restored into the original standing-up attitude by the release of the external force.
