The coaxial cable connector has a housing [1] with a central isolator [2] and has a formed location slot for a U shaped spring [5]. A cylindrical core element [8] is produced with a pair of diametrically opposed slots and when the connection parts are moved axially together the U shaped spring latches into the slots in a snap action effect.
