The standard hospital bed is fitted with lateral railings preventing the patient from falling in particular cases. The railing can be folded down if not required. With a new arrangement the patient is to be protected from injury by getting the skin caught between the moving parts. In a first step the rear railings can be interchanged. Additionally the flat irons holding the railings are provided with spacer sleeves in order to create a safe distance between the parts. Small synthetic plates can be pushed onto the sleeves for even better protection. |
