PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for administering a lipopeptide antibiotic at a dosage interval causing no skeletal muscle toxicity, and to provide a pharmaceutical composition.

SOLUTION: This method for administering the lipopeptide antibiotic at a dosage interval causing no skeletal muscle toxicity comprises a step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of the lipopeptide antibiotic at 3-75 mg/kg dosage to a human patient requiring the administration, and repeatedly administering the above antibiotic at a rate of once 24 hr to once a week.
