A server for operating use definition information of a cardholder is provided to prevent illegal credit card use caused from robbery, missing, forgery/alteration, and name stealth of a credit card by enabling a user to previously define available goods, member shop, and/or use limit of the credit card, and storing the use definition information to an IC chip of the credit card. A checker checks the use definition information stored in a storage medium(140) or a database by checking credit card information included in a settlement approval request message according to the credit card use. The use definition information is linked with the credit card information. A determiner determines a settlement approval by comparing member shop information corresponding to the checked use definition information with the member shop information included in the received message. An approval processor(115) approves settlement corresponding to a settlement approval request by responding to a determination result. The credit card includes the IC chip attached or detached from an MS(Magnetic Stripe) card, an IC card, and a mobile terminal. |
