<p>A method and a system for processing handover of a mobile communication system are provided to perform handover to the best cell without periodically transmitting an MR(Measurement Report) to an RNC. An event 'C' occurs with respect to a plurality of cells(B1,B2)(S51). An MR message for reporting occurrence of the event 'C' is transmitted from a mobile terminal to an RNC(S52). A message for instructing the establishment of a radio link to a cell B1 is received from the RNC(S53). A mobile terminal completes the establishment of the radio link to the cell B1 according to the instruction(S54). The same event 'C' occurs in a state that a leaving triggering condition is not achieved with respect to the cell B2(S55). An MR message is reported by transmitting the occurrence of the event 'C'(S56). A radio link establishment message for instructing establishing of a radio link is received from the RNC(S57). Establishment of the radio link to the cell B2' is completed(S58).</p> |
