A method and an apparatus for forming a hollow molded product having a thin film on an inner surface are provided to protect an evaporation surface from contamination by performing an evaporation process even without extracting a semi-hollow body from a mold. A method for forming a hollow molded product, comprises a step of injection molding a pair of semi-hollow bodies by using a fixed mold and a movable mold so that the pair of semi-hollow bodies have opening with opposed portions; a step of opening the mold and forming a thin film on an inner surface of at least one of the semi-hollow bodies at the state where one of semi-hollow bodies remains in the fixed mold and the other of semi-hollow bodies remains in the movable mold; and a step of permitting openings of the semi-hollow bodies to be opposed each other, and injecting a molten resin to the opposed portion so that the semi-hollow bodies are integrated into a single hollow body. The third step is performed in the molds by covering the semi-hollow bodies in the molds with an evaporation chamber(25) equipped with a target electrode, a substrate electrode, and a vacuum suction pipe.
