INK-JET PRINTER AND NOZZLE MAINTENANCE METHOD THEREOF ON PRINTING

An ink-jet printer and a method of performing maintenance of nozzles during printing are provided to shorten time consumed for spitting ink to increase print speed. An ink-jet printer includes ink cartridges(21,22,23,24), an ink removing cartridge(25), and a controller(80). The ink cartridge accommodates ink and includes an ink ejection nozzle. The ink removing cartridge accommodates an ink removing agent, and has an ink removing agent ejection nozzle installed around the ink ejection nozzle. The controller controls to eject the ink removing agent to the ink spit from the ejection nozzle when the ink is spitted from the ejection nozzle to the paper.
