<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor printing system which enables the longitudinal and horizontal registration associated with each plate cylinder and the positioning of a mark sensor for a color mark to be easily performed with a high degree of accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This multicolor printing system comprises: the plurality of plate cylinders 12 with a color-mark forming part 30; a guide 15 which is elongated in parallel with each plate cylinder 12; a laser point 16a which slides along the guide 15; and the mark sensor 19 which is connected to the laser point 16a. The laser point 16a applies cross-shaped laser light to the color-mark forming part 30. The laser point 16a is slid to a predetermined position on the guide 15, and the plate cylinder 12 is positioned by being shifted so that the laser light from the laser point 16a can be applied in accordance with the color-mark forming part 30.
