<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-absorbable tissue implant and a method for preparing and using the implant. <P>SOLUTION: Optimally, this tissue implant is bio-absorbable. This tissue implant is equipped with one or more layers of a bio-absorbable macromolecular foam which have a stoma accompanied with a structure of an open cell type. And, this tissue implant is also equipped with a reinforcing component which contributes to both mechanical characteristics and handling properties of the implant. Optimally, the reinforcing component of this invention is also bio-absorbable.
