<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To designate the processing of a mask from a data file, and to simultaneously print a mask-processed document and a mask-unprocessed form concerning a form preparation method. <P>SOLUTION: When performing overlay print by using a form and a data file, a field to be mask-processed is designated from a data file so that mask processing can be performed to the field. Also, the detail (color or the like) of the mask processing can be designated from the data file.
