<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a residual toner is recovered by a developing device without soiling an electrifying device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a photoreceptor drum 2 carrying a toner image. The electrifying device 3, a developing unit 4, a transfer device 5 and a charge control member 6 are successively arranged around the photoreceptor drum 2 in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor drum 2. In the electrifying device 3, electrifying bias different from that in which an image is formed is applied in a prescribed period when the image is not formed. For example, peak-to-peak voltage (≥1,500V) higher than the electrifying bias (Vpp: 1,200V, frequency: 2kHz) when the image is formed or voltage of high frequency (≥3kHz) is applied to the electrifying device 3 after finishing printing for prescribed number of sheets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
