CURVE RENDERING DEVICE, CURVE RENDERING METHOD, PARKING SUPPORT SYSTEM AND VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To render an appropriately thickened curve with display scanning by simple arithmetic processing without using a frame buffer. SOLUTION: A coordinate computation means 2 calculates coordinates to be rendered from an input mathematical expression of an original curve. A gradient computation means 3 calculates the gradient of a tangent to the original curve. A horizontal thickening means 4 computes to thicken the original curve horizontally. A vertical thickening means 5 computes to thicken the original curve vertically and convert it into a horizontal vector. A selection means 6 switches between the use of the computation of the horizontal thickening means 4 and the use of the computation of the vertical thickening means 5 according to the tangent gradient calculated by the gradient computation means 3. An output means 8 outputs an image signal for each pixel with the scanning of a display screen. A curve thickened from the original curve can thus be rendered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
