PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of saving a memory cell of short retention time. SOLUTION: When a power supply voltage VPP is monitored and it drops below a lower limit value, as a double refresh method, serial refreshing is carried out to make double refresh break into a next refresh cycle.
