PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of a test result position where display quality of a liquid crystal display panel 20 has been detected, by accurately combining divided images on the liquid crystal display panel 20. SOLUTION: In a first imaging step, the liquid crystal display panel 20 is divided into a plurality of imaging areas, and each imaging area is imaged as a divided image in a state that all pixels included in the imaging area are displayed. In a second imaging step, each imaging area is imaged as a mark image in a state that only a mark 40 composed of at least one dot in a part of the imaging area is lit. In a composition step, respective divided images are combined with mark images as references to form an entire image. In a determination step, it is determined whether the liquid crystal display panel 20 has a display defect or not on the basis of the entire image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
