PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content dividing device capable of completely restoring divided contents divided into a plurality of contents to an undivided original content, and a content restoring device, and to provide a content dividing method, a content restoring method, and a program therefor. SOLUTION: The content dividing device divides one content before division recorded in a content recording medium 10 into two or more divided contents. The content dividing device is provided with a management information recording part 30 which saves management information before division of the content before division, and a management information processing part 23 which records the management information before division of the content before division recorded in the content recording medium 10 in the management information recording part 30 when dividing the content before division.
