PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicating instrument 1 with enhanced appearance by making the light emission color vivid all over an indicator 3, as to the indicating instrument 1 structured so as to cause the indicator 3 to emit light on the observer side thereof while causing light of a color different from the light on the observer side to be emitted from a domain excluding the observer side of the indicator 3 by using a common light source 2. SOLUTION: This indicating instrument 1 is equipped with: the light source 2; and the indicator made of a light guide member and comprising first and second light emitting parts 14 and 15. The emitting part 14 comprises a color changing layer 16 provided on the observer side of the indicator 3 for outputting light coming therein from the light source 2 after changing its color into a different light emission color. The light emitting parts 15 provided on an end of the indicator 3 for outputting, to the exterior, light of a light emission color different from the light color of the emitting part 14.
