PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize an optical sensor to save energy more and improve convenience in an electric refrigerator using the optical sensor for silent operation at night and energy-saving and the like. SOLUTION: The optical sensors outside the refrigerator provided on a door or the door and the top surface detect luminosity around the refrigerator and adjust luminosity of a light source. Sensors in the refrigerator provided on a side surface in the refrigerator, a back surface, a shelf or inside of the door detect luminosity in the refrigerator and it is possible to adjust the luminosity of the light source also according to the quantity of stored objects in the refrigerator.
