摘要 The invention relates to an implantable, biodegradable osteosynthesis system for operational connections on the level of the locomotor system. Said system is capable of absorbing major forces and can therefore be used in the entire locomotor system, in particular in the load-bearing skeleton. The inventive system comprises at least one motion-stable or load-stable element which has a strength that is equal to or greater than 300 N/mm<SUP>2</SUP> and which is produced from a biodegradable composite material with a matrix and fibers integrated into the matrix. The chemical composition and structure of the fibers integrated into the matrix differs from those of the matrix. As a result of the suitable biomechanical properties, the locomotor system is able to bear weight already at an early stage after surgery. The times for hospitalisation, rehabilitation and absences from work can be substantially reduced. The osteosynthesis system makes it possible to largely replace traditional metal implants. A method for producing the inventive biodegradable osteosynthesis system is also disclosed.
