<p>A drum comprising an elongate tubular body and a membrane, the body being open at both ends and the membrane being stretched across, and secured in tension to, one end of the body, the elongate tubular body comprising three sections, a first end section having a substantially linear centreline, the first end section being substantially circular in cross-section and including an end having the membrane stretched thereacross, a second end section having a substantially linear centreline, the second end section including an aperture having a non- circular periphery of a generally regular shape but including an outward deformation at one part of the periphery, the first end section being coupled to the second end section by a centre section having a curved centreline such that the centrelines of the first and second end sections are at a first angle with respect to one another, the centre section and the second end section having a cross- sectional area which increases with distance away from the first end section.
